In 2019, Talkmore Mashawa had an idea. Several families struggled to get their loved ones home to their final resting place. Armed with his knowledge and experience in the funeral business, he set out to start his own Repatriation and Funeral Service exclusively for Zimbabwean Nationals.

Thus was born, Open Gates Funerals. For an affordable fee per month, families are covered, not only just a coffin or casket, but also removal and storage, embalming, documentation and repatriation.
